The decision to put your house for sale on the market is rarely made over night. Some people spend over  a year debating whether now is the right now time to sell or not. Well, say you do way all the pros and cons and have made that decision to sell, it doesn’t really matter what day you put the sign in the yard right? Well not according to the fine folks at Redfin who have done studies that show listing your house on a Friday is gives your house a 12% better chance to sell in 90 days that homes listed on other weekdays. The floks at Redfin believe there is a very alid reason for this trend.

“”Our theory is that since homebuyers tend to tour homes on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday have 2.5 times more tours per day than weekdays), homes listed on Fridays are the freshest in buyers’ minds when they’re making their weekend plans. It also seems likely that many homebuyers sort their weekend ‘must see’ lists by date listed, going to see the freshest homes first so they have the best chance of getting in on a potential good deal before other buyers,”  -REDFIN-

Knowing valuable information such as this can really help you when it comes time to sell your house. When it comes to selling your home so much more than just putting a sign goes into the process. Working with an experienced agent who understands this and other similar concepts can really give you an edge when selling your home.
